The Devolution Dividend: What mayoral devolution means for your next project

Thank you to the Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward, for taking part in our Devolution Dividend event yesterday at National Justice Museum organised by Pegasus Group and The CCP.

Together the panel discussed the 'Devolution Dividend. What Mayoral Devolution means for your next development project' an event hosted by Pegasus Group and the Community Communications Partnership. The panel was joined by Paul Burton of Hallam Land and Joanne Neville of Harworth Group plc.

Mayor Claire Ward emphasised her desire for delivery, to build more, be better and faster. The Mayor's aim is to have the Spatial Development Strategy in place for 2028. Paul Burton highlighted how Spatial Development Strategies are an opportunity to reinvigorate the public's faith in the Planning system, creating visions for the future, supported by the Mayors access to new funding for strategic projects and infrastructure through Business Rates and Income Tax.

A big thank you to Sue Bridge for chairing and to Joanne Neville, Paul Burton and Duncan Enright for being on the panel to discuss the new mayoral planning powers.

Thanks also to the Pegasus Group and The CCP team Douglas McCormick, Henry Lamprecht, Felicity Roochove, Steve Lewis-Roberts, James Clark, Richard Brown, Sarita Gouws and Linda Dixon.
