Out with the old – in with the new

There aren’t many certainties in this election… well there are and there aren’t. We know that the conservatives are not going to do well and Labour appears to be following them.

This void that is being left by the two main parties will be filled by Reform, Greens and the LibDems.

Reform is probably going to do well in the north and make further inroads in traditional Tory areas.

The Greens will be taking safe Labour Councils in London and do very well across the country.

The LibDems already come from a strong base in Local Government and they will only be re-enforcing that position.

Many councils up and down the County will go to NOC – No Overall Control and you will see strange rainbow coalitions pop up everywhere.

Will you see the old established parties form coalitions to keep Reform out?

Will you see LibDems, Reform and Greens working together to displace the Conservatives and Labour?

And so the list carries on…

The one certain thing is that these changes will have an impact on planning. How you talk to the Councillors who are the decision makers, how you consult with their communities and how you prioritise local issues to translate into planning consents.

Don’t be scared by this – call me and we’ll help you to navigate it all!

Ps. Remember to vote! Polls are open form 7am – 10pm… you get what you vote for!
